With a determined nod, Caroline pulled herself away from Ava’s side, her heart pounding. She scanned the gym, taking in the various stations: a balance beam, a trampoline, and a set of colorful mats invitingly laid out for practice. Each area seemed to offer a unique challenge, and Caroline decided to embrace the adventure of exploration. She wandered over to the trampoline first, its springs bouncing energetically beneath her feet. As she lightly hopped, an exhilarating rush filled her, and she let out a small laugh. The fear that had shadowed her earlier began to fade, replaced by a spark of joy. Encouraged by the freedom of jumping, she suddenly felt a wave of inspiration—maybe gymnastics was her way to express herself. Suddenly, a voice interrupted her thoughts. “Nice moves! You’re a natural!” Caroline turned to see a few girls watching her, giving her encouraging smiles. It was a small win, but it ignited a new sense of confidence. Now, should she continue to jump on the trampoline and show off her newfound joy, or should she approach the balance beam, looking to challenge herself further?
