Pip turned to Flora, his ears perked up with anticipation. “Flora, do you know any stories about the pixies?” he asked earnestly. The shy deer looked around, ensuring no one was listening too closely before leaning in closer.
“Yes, I do,” Flora whispered, her eyes wide. “Pixies love to play tricks, but they can be cunningly clever. There’s an old tale about a brave rabbit who befriended a pixie by solving her riddles. If you can outsmart them, they might just help you instead of hinder you!”
Pip nodded, his mind racing. Riddles? He had read about them in Wisefeather's books, but he had never faced a real-life challenge like that. The thought of confronting mischievous pixies excited him and filled him with trepidation all at once.
“Thank you, Flora! I’ll remember that!” he said, feeling more prepared. Just then, he spotted a glimmer in the grass nearby.
Should he investigate the glimmer or continue discussing strategy with Flora?
